the garden

this tree that I planted
spread her roots wide
like a fan.

she reached down into rich loam
and wove stories
beneath her crown.

when her soul came down and alighted
on my shoulder
she stood strong.

Mmm...trees...delightful.

Hey, I have a little curly willow that my Mum gave me to plant, rooted from a snippet of a friend's tree...

I have no idea where to put her, but I hope to put her feet into the earth tonight.

Shade and Sweetwater,
K

And while her root's and soul slept through the night...the 'She' moon stood full and strong amongst the stars...rooted amongst the Universe...just like your soul ;)

Thanks, both of you! Kyddryn, I hope you found a sweet spot to plant her.
