Your spirit is in sync with the turning of the earth. Very interesting - object as poetry!

Mike-mike, when you are holding me tight, my heart is not in such a tragic place!

Aniket, I hope you will try your hand at it. You can have so much fun blending words with images. I've seen some really neat ones on Amy Bernier's blog Pocket Magnet (you can find it in my links in the sidebar). She has made whole series of postcards with words and images on them.

Karen, thanks...

I love the mix of photo and words. It really makes me feel the sadness of shattering.

I'm always amazed when a poet can use words like imprisoned and shattered and still create such lush evocative beauty. I've seen it done by the masters over and over, but still it awes me.

At The Crossroads

Like a shattered glass
I reflect indecision
found at my crossroads,
the spot where I keep
such questions unasked as this,
Will you marry me?
Shall we emigrate?
Will I die before, after?
I fear losing you.

I think it's not such a bad spot to be in, waiting to be devoured by the dawn. I would like to meet the dawn again one day. As it is, I sleep it through.

I have to keep reading this one, as it reads many different ways.

Colleen, thank you.

Kelly, I certainly have no mastery, but I hope at least it is visually pleasing and a bit intriguing. I wasn't sure it totally made sense, really, but it reflected my mood at the time.

Christopher, yes, yes you have hit on it perfectly... something else, which has inspired something else, and so it goes! :)

Erin, true, not such a bad thing at all. Silly dawn, becoming her own prisoner.
