Unlikely fowl

Flagrant blue display
jeweled golden bridal train
longing for worship

This is one of the riverbank peacocks in Souris, MB. He saw me with my camera, so he came over and struck a series of lovely poses. When I walked away to try and find some other things to take pictures of, he followed me for a while.

I'd preen, too, if I looked like that!

Beautiful haiku.

Karen, yep, I bet most of us would!

Joseph, thanks, me too. :)

I found these last year for the first time, and marveled at such a small and wonderful creation.

So fair a foul I have not seen. Fancier than the riverbank Canada Geese in Saskatoon.

Loved the haiku, too.

Love your haiku tribute to this magnificent bird. She's a beauty for sure. When we went to the zoo awhile back there was a peacock wandering around whom I was fascinated by. I took picture after picture trying to capture the right one. I have a few nice ones too. Have a great day. Happy 4th.

How could you not worship it? I'm sold on that blue green every time!

The colourful bird
is following the colourful bird;
to "worship" the colourful bird in you, too

Lovely pic

i've always wondered if "proud as a peacock" was accurate or if it was just coined out of jealousy - either way - this is a jem.
