The return of magic

It was you who I missed.
Though I tried to hide
behind a jeer, you found my secret
and named it true. I thought
I held you trapped, but in the end,
you caught me with
the enchantment
of your gentled hands,
their power stilled as they hid
their strength lying smooth
on tread-weary thighs, your face
cast down silent
half hidden in shadow.

Rachel, it is so easy to write with you. This might be like actors who can really shine with each other, like Hepburn and Tracy, Burton and Taylor, Burns and Allen...More maybe like Burns and Allen:)

I Want You Back

Music so distant
in the empty air - still it
reaches into me
as if the sound was
my own.

I wait in my stand
in the late fall woods.
The sun dappled weeds
in this glade give off a scent,
dry as if a desert.

I know this music
as I know you, how you kiss,
love me in the dark.

I read the "loss" one just before this... it was an interesting experience of dreamlike sorrow followed by ethereal joy. That's what I got out of it, anyway. Very nice. :)

Very sensual; lots of room for imagination.
