Rat

So I lap the small seeds
from your hand,
that delightful reek
of you a tingle
in my brown speckled
nostrils, whiskers flaring
into a shower,
a tentative shower
of white spun gold

Do you have a rat? I think their faces are cute - it's the tail that gives me the willies, somewhat.

I like the poem though.

or a metaphor:)

Like the poem, imaging the open hand and the felling. Very good

I have guinea pigs, not rats. I did have pet rats though, at two points in my life. Maybe the rat is a metaphor for something. Or maybe he is just Rat.
