Dissolve

The clutter of a decade in a torrent of  rain,
curbside
'Free Stuff' sign scratched in purple marker
on the back of an old worksheet, pinned
to the dog-eared loveseat with scratchy
tartan cushions, the sign
weeping mascara tears
down
into the crease between
red and brown checkered wings

I may just have to give up on the formatting.

Oh, the love seat is just so very visible, with the ink wending its way down the crevasse.

Sorry to hear about the formatting problems. I had that once. By the next time I tried to post, it had cleaned itself up.

Courage!

Bear, the problem is something I may not be able to overcome. It's because I'm writing/posting from my phone. This technology is helping me to write more often. I can edit the posts to fix the formatting after the fact.

Technology! What can one say? One can say it sometimes does not work as advertised.

Sorry to hear of your plight.

P.S.: I don't have your e-mail address. Well, not exactly. It is safely locked inside a computer which does not work any longer.

As I said, technology!
